Measure from the high point of the sill of your window the surface closest to the inside of the window to the top of the window opening.

First measure the length and width of each surface on the roof then multiply these values to get the square footage of that surface.
If this distance measures 4 inches you have a 4 in 12 pitch.
Buying the incorrect size will waste much more time not to mention money.

Ignore all pulleys and parting strips when measuring for depth dimensions as they ll be removed for replacement window installation.
